<span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Adjunct (Nursing) Faculty are expected to exemplify objectives and values consistent with the mission statement of the university.</span>Managing clinical students in assigned settings.<br>Effective Clinical/Lab teaching and interacting with students in a professional manner.<br>Maintaining accurate and secure records of student grades, attendance, and clinical/lab evaluations.<br>Strong communication and collaboration with clinical partners and staff on assigned units.<br>Maintaining high standards of professionalism in the content, objectives, teaching, and grading of clinical paperwork<br>Work in collaboration with course coordinators and assigned teaching faculty to ensure course objectives and learning outcomes are met as directed.<br>Maintaining an understanding of university and BSN program policies, procedures, and the curriculum and degree requirements of their respective schools<br>Maintaining a professional level of scholarship by maintaining all required licensure and credentials necessary to meet the Georgia Board of Nursing.<p style="margin: 0 0 8pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><strong><u>Education and Experience</u></strong></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required, with a Master of Science in Nursing preferred.</p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><strong><u>Licenses and Certification</u></strong></p>Current unrestricted Georgia Licensure as a Registered Nurse<br>Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification<br><p style="margin: 0 0 8pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Valid Georgia Driver’s License (or obtained within 30 days of hire date) and satisfactory MVR</p><strong><u>Environmental, Physical, and Visual Acuity Factors</u></strong><br>Essential functions and responsibilities of this position require incumbents to be subject to inside environmental conditions where there is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. <br> <br>Essential functions and responsibilities of this position require incumbents to perform medium work where they will exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently and/or 10 lbs of force frequently to move objects.
