We're seeking an experienced CPA or Senior Bookkeeping Consultant with deep QuickBooks Online expertise to help us properly configure and optimize our accounting system. This is more than a bookkeeping role, we're looking for someone who can establish accounting best practices, configure QuickBooks correctly, and serve as a trusted financial advisor as we grow.

We are a U.S.-based marketing and communications agency with domestic and international operations. Our goal is to build a scalable accounting system that provides accurate financial reporting, supports project profitability, and simplifies ongoing bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

•Review our current accounting setup and recommend improvements

•Configure and optimize QuickBooks Online

•Set up and organize the Chart of Accounts

•Configure customers, vendors, products/services, and classes or locations

•Establish project and job costing workflows

•Set up expense categories and reporting structures

•Configure invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable workflows

•Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

•Ensure financial statements and reports are accurate

•Advise on accounting best practices and internal controls

•Train our team on proper QuickBooks usage

•Provide ongoing bookkeeping support as needed

Required Qualifications

•CPA (preferred) or equivalent senior accounting experience

•Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online

•Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting experience

•Experience configuring QuickBooks from the ground up

•Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices

•Experience supporting small businesses, agencies, or professional services firms

•Excellent communication skills
