Experienced Drivers and Assistant Drivers

Distant Winds Logistics is a third-party Delivery Service company looking for enthusiastic team players to deliver large packages. Distant Winds Logistics strives to provide outstanding customer service while creating a positive work environment. We are seeking experienced PROFESSIONAL drivers who are customer-focused, efficient, and reliable. Drivers must be able to operate 16’-24’ box trucks while driver assistants provide help moving to packages to their final destination. We are hiring team members who take pride in their work, appearance and building positive relationships.

  • Each day you will use state-of-the-art technology to efficiently guide you through 30-60 stops in parts of Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky.
  • Company Vehicle Provided
  • No CDL Required
  • F-Endorsement Required for TN licenses
  • DOT Medical Card and DOT Safety training paid by company
  • Approximate hours are 8 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Shifts are 10 hours per day and are available 7 days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate your delivery vehicle at all times
  • Use hand-held device for routing and customer delivery information
  • Navigate a variety of routes throughout delivery areas
  • Drivers must be comfortable operating trucks in varying weather conditions
  • Load and unload large packages for delivery (two-person team)
  • Be CUSTOMER FOCUSED!
  • Should be able to lift packages that are a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Able to get in and out of box truck and walk up and down stairs during your shift

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Proficient in English sufficient to meet US DOT standard of ability to read road signs for package delivery driver
  • F-Endorsement Required for TN licenses
  • DOT Medical Card and DOT Safety training paid by company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as package delivery driver preferred, but not necessary
  • This is a great opportunity for military candidates
