<strong>Job Description</strong><br/><br/>The 4th Hour of TODAY is looking for a <strong>Digital Producer</strong> to lead digital content for Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones across social, digital, and TODAY.com.<br/><br/>This role is fully embedded with the show and talent, requiring someone who is confident working directly with on-air personalities and celebrity guests in fast-paced, high-visibility environments. They will partner closely with broadcast producers, bookers, and our digital teams to ensure every segment and guest has a strong, strategic digital extension.<br/><br/>This producer will own the end-to-end execution of content - from ideation through publishing - while driving social franchise development, real-time coverage, video extensions, and editorial output for TODAY.com.<br/><br/>This position is represented by the News Guild - NY CWA.<br/><br/><strong>What You'll Do:</strong><br/><ul><li>Lead real-time digital coverage of the 4th Hour -- clipping, editing, and publishing high-impact moments as they happen </li><li>Own talent coverage, regularly shadowing Jenna & Sheinelle (in-studio, backstage, pre/post-show) to identify and capture social-first content </li><li>Work closely with broadcast producers and booking teams to plan ahead for segments and maximize celebrity guest appearance across platforms </li><li>Concept, build, and lead social franchises (recurring formats, games, interview styles, audience callouts) featuring on-air talent and guests </li><li>Turn each segment and guest into multiple pieces of content (social clips, backstage, quick-turn formats, extended interviews) </li><li>Produce original digital content - from social to video and today.com articles - with talent and celebrity guests, both in-studio and around 30 Rock </li><li>Collaborate with our original video team to produce Jenna & Sheinelle-related video content</li><li>Act as a key bridge between broadcast and digital</li><li>Collaborate with today.com on editorial content tied to the 4th Hour, including pitching and helping produce and package TODAY.com stories, recaps, and guest-driven content </li><li>Ensure consistency across broadcast segments, social coverage, and site storytelling</li></ul><br/><strong>Execution + Strategy</strong><br/><ul><li>Lead end-to-end execution: scripting, editing, writing, publishing, and optimizing content </li><li>Oversee on-site and in-studio digital activations, including audience callouts and interactive segments </li><li>Use performance data to iterate on formats and franchises, scaling what works </li><li>Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, live production environment </li></ul><br/><strong>Key Focus Areas</strong><br/><ul><li>Talent + celebrity-driven content ownership </li><li>Social franchise development and scaling </li><li>Deep integration with broadcast and daily rundown </li><li>Original video ideas</li><li>TODAY.com editorial ownership </li><li>Real-time, in-studio execution </li><li>Multi-platform storytelling (IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, TODAY.com) </li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Qualifications</strong><br/><ul><li>4+ years of experience in digital production, editing, or multi-platform content in a newsroom, studio, or entertainment environment </li><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience</li><li>Proven experience working directly with on-air talent and/or celebrity guests, with strong judgment and professionalism in high-profile settings </li><li>Strong video editing skills (Premiere preferred) with the ability to execute quickly and at a high level </li><li>Deep understanding of social platforms, formats, and audience behavior </li><li>Strong writing skills across social and editorial</li><li>Experience working in-studio and in real time, with tight turnarounds </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously </li></ul><br/><strong>Desired Characteristics:</strong><br/><ul><li>Experience building and scaling social franchises or repeatable formats </li><li>Experience producing and/or pitching original video series</li><li>Background in morning TV, lifestyle, or entertainment content </li><li>Experience with digital editorial packaging</li><li>Basic shooting skills (iPhone/DSLR) and light motion graphics </li></ul><br/><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong><br/><ul><li><strong>Hybrid</strong>: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office in New York a minimum of four days per week.</li></ul><br/>This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
