About the Team We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Network Engineering and Operations to lead our global network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on cloud networking, enterprise connectivity, and secure access solutions. This role will be instrumental in defining and executing our network strategy, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across our data centers, cloud environments, corporate offices, and remote/branch locations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in modern networking technologies, a proven track record of managing 24x7 operations, and the ability to lead and mentor a high-performing team. About the Role Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall network strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives and anticipating future needs, particularly in cloud adoption and distributed workforce models. Cloud Networking: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of network connectivity within and across public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Drive strategies for hybrid cloud connectivity, direct connect, and cloud-native networking services. Secure Access & SASE: Architect, deploy, and manage advanced Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, with extensive experience in Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). Optimize Zscaler deployments for performance, security, and user experience. Enterprise & Office Networking: Oversee the design, implementation, and support of robust and scalable network infrastructure for corporate offices, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi. Remote Office/Branch Office (ROBO) Strategy: Define and implement cost-effective, secure, and highly available network solutions for remote offices and branch locations, including SD-WAN considerations. Network Security: Lead the deployment and ongoing management of Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, ensuring robust security postures, policy enforcement, and threat prevention across the enterprise. Core Networking: Provide expert oversight for Cisco routing and switching environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. Application Delivery: Manage and optimize F5 Networks infrastructure (e.g., BIG-IP LTM, GTM) for application load balancing, traffic management, and high availability. Wireless Networking: Drive the strategy, deployment, and management of Juniper Mist Wireless solutions, leveraging AI-driven operations for exceptional user experience and network visibility. Operations Management: Lead and mentor a 24x7 Network Operations team, establishing best practices for monitoring, incident response, problem management, change management, and service level agreements (SLAs). Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of highly skilled network engineers and operations specialists. Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key networking vendors, service providers, and technology partners. Budget & Resource Management: Manage the network budget, optimizing expenditures and resource allocation to meet business demands. Documentation & Standards: Establish and maintain comprehensive network documentation, standards, and procedures. About You Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in network engineering and operations. 10+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale network infrastructures across enterprise, data center, and cloud environments. 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role. Expert-level experience with Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA) deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (Panorama, policy management, security features). Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Nexus, Catalyst). Proven experience with F5 Networks BIG-IP LTM/GTM platforms. Experience leading and managing a 24x7 network operations team, including defining processes and KPIs. Understanding and experience with Juniper Mist Wireless solutions. Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and services (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, GCP VPC, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute/Cloud Interconnect). Other Qualifications: Experience leading and managing a 24x7 network operations team, including defining processes and KPIs. Understanding of network security principles, threat landscapes, and best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
