Sling Pilot Academy in Torrance, CA is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Hangar Front Desk - Aircraft Dispatcher to handle our flight training academy admin, basic book-keeping and hangar 'front of house'. Sling Pilot Academy is a great place to get a wide range of administration experience and have fun at the same time!

What we do:

We manage a flight school with an accelerated airline pilot training course. We operate about 50 airplanes and have hundreds of pilots in training, and flight instructors and maintenance personnel.

Job Type:

  • Full-Time only
  • Weekends need to be available

The Job:

  • Hangar front of house, sales, walk-ins and phone calls
  • Setting up new student files in document management systems (scan/upload)
  • Registering new students in the various training/scheduling/aviation programs we use
  • Scheduling introductory flight lessons, and dealing with walk-ins
  • Diligently billing each flight correctly
  • Interfacing with Maintenance to balance aircraft load and schedule maintenance
  • Maintaining a clean and workable space
  • Ensuring all students and employees comply with all company SOPs
  • Monitoring the location’s schedule to maximize flight time
  • Communicating location needs with the Facilities Manager
  • Continuing to build Sling Pilot Academy’s open and friendly community-oriented atmosphere
  • Clarifying procedures and rules with the Flight Operations Director and/or Chief Instructors
  • Administrative Tasks: Data entry, answering phones/emails, customer service, and document adherence
  • Customer tours

Education:

  • High School or Equivalent

Applicant Qualities:

The successful applicant will have the following qualities:

  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Customer service at least 1 year+
  • A confident, engaging, and positive personality is crucial.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Primarily, be a diligent and conscientious worker
  • Pay attention to detail and be accountable
  • Organized worker who can maintain priorities while switching between various tasks
  • Good familiarity with Windows PC, Excel, Dropbox, etc
  • Willingness to learn and take instruction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
