The Difference You Make:

The GTB Leveraged Finance Structured Sales Specialist serves as an SME responsible for the origination of structured solutions within the trade finance and working capital area. These involve securitizations, receivables repos, secured lending, inventory finance, prepayment finance, contract monetization, receivables finance, and other Structured Trade & Commodities Finance sub-products. As such, you will:

  • Be directly responsible for the growth of trade and working capital solutions with Santander’s leveraged finance client base, including portfolio companies of financial sponsors
  • Promote and develop working relationships with Investment and Sponsor coverage banker teams to provide structuring and product support on transactions originated from the leveraged finance client base.
  • Manage overall deal origination structuring process by preparing commitment letters, term sheets, pitch books, and cond.
  • Develop deep understanding and expertise in structuring customized solutions which may involve esoteric asset classes such as trade receivables, unperformed customer contracts

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required


Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of GTB products including export and agency finance with particular emphasis on the structured trade finance (products like SCF, lending, and LC, which are more pure corporate lending).
  • Advanced knowledge of securitization, tranching, and structured finance transactions with particular emphasis trade receivable securitization
  • Proven ability to identify specific high-quality assets within a corporate structure and to monetize those assets in a way that does not impede first lien credit agreements and is isolated from the bankruptcy of the seller
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the closing of a trade finance transaction which involves negotiating terms with client and internal credit and legal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and leverage professional relationships internally (particularly with leveraged finance and investment banking teams) and externally.
  • Advanced knowledge of the portfolio company lifecycle within financial sponsors.
  • Advanced knowledge of typical levered finance products such as RCF, term loan A and B, and LBO.
  • Advanced knowledge of private equity fund structure, objectives, and desired outcomes.
  • Advanced knowledge of ECM and DCM product offerings.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, risk evaluation, loan documentation.
  • Advanced ability to form client relationships and sales/closing skills.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$185,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$220,000.00 USD
