A Snapshot of Your Day

Material Handlers perform necessary material receiving, storage, delivery and inventory of all items assigned in and out of the department. Transport materials to assigned areas to provide the support for shipping goods and product to the identified internal and external destinations based on accepted industry and shop practices. Document and record the receipt and delivery of all materials and products. Perform required inspection for safe operation and delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support and apply team concepts and Siemens values in daily activities. Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.
  • Receive and perform work assignments in oral and/or written format and follow work instructions. Responsible to deliver materials to departments as needed and return surplus materials to stock. Accurately document all materials and deliveries received or shipped.
  • Waste handling, blade production delivery, blade packing materials, root segments system handling.
  • Operate glass cutting equipment and materials associated with production requirements. Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of warehouse operations.
  • Have a strong understanding of our 5S program and participate on improvements. Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition including equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficient understanding of Risk Assessments, PPE Plans and Work Instructions. Handling and managing receiving trucks, loading, unloading, and recyclable material duties.

What You Bring

  • Minimum education requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Possess or have ability to acquire the following: PIME license by passing company test requirements, a crane license by passing company test requirements and LOTO certification.
  • Passing score on General Computer skills evaluation
  • Ability to read, write and understand metric measuring system.
  • Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrate proficiency in SAP and other MS Office computer tools
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis and be on feet 8 or more hours/day. Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day. Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days
