This opportunity allows nursing students and recent graduates to express interest in future registered nurse positions at UMH while completing the final steps of their education and licensure process. Candidates selected for consideration will move forward in the hiring process once they have successfully passed the NCLEX and obtained the appropriate nursing license.

New Graduate Nurses hired through this program will enter a supportive clinical environment with department-specific orientation, one-on-one preceptor guidance, skills development, and ongoing feedback from nursing leadership. The program is intended to help newly licensed nurses bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world patient care while becoming familiar with UMH policies, documentation standards, communication expectations, and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Participants will have the opportunity to build confidence, strengthen clinical judgment, and develop key skills such as time management, prioritization, critical thinking, and patient communication. New nurses are supported by experienced nurses, managers, educators, and department leaders who are committed to helping them grow into safe, competent, and compassionate professional nurses.

This opportunity is ideal for nursing students nearing graduation or recent graduates who are eager to begin their nursing career in a community hospital setting, serve patients close to home, and become part of a team that values learning, accountability, compassion, and professional growth.
