About the position

The Office Assistant II position involves performing a variety of routine to moderately difficult customer service, accounting, receptionist, records management, and database support functions under general supervision. This role is distinguished from the Office Assistant I by the greater range of office support functions performed with lesser direction, requiring more specialized knowledge of department procedures and standards. The position is part-time and temporary, with flexible work hours averaging eighteen hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Types, formats, edits, revises, proofreads, and prints various reports and documents.

  • Answers, screens, and refers visitors and telephone calls; assists customers at a public counter and by telephone.

  • Maintains departmental personnel files and prepares personnel documents.
