Location: Tampa, FL – Carrollwood Area 33624

Pay Rate: $60,000 annually (all-in, based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week); FLEXIBLE with no fixed daily schedule. Primarily between 8 AM–6 PM, with occasional evenings/weekends as needed, occasional ad-hoc transportation requests

Candidate Location : The ideal candidate should live within 30 minutes, with traffic, of the 33624 zipcode, "Carrollwood/Northdale area"

Vehicle : Company-provided vehicle with a credit card for gas and maintenance

Position Overview:

A private household in the Carrollwood area is seeking a warm, dependable, and grounded Personal Assistant/Driver to support a high-functioning adult with unique needs. This role combines transportation, personal assistance, and household support, with a focus on consistency, companionship, and active daily living. We are seeking someone who can provide positive guidance, support social engagement, and recommend and participate in enriching activities such as volunteering, shopping, or attending events.

This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a non-structured environment, takes initiative, and can manage responsibilities independently without micromanagement. Each week will vary, requiring strong organization, planning, and adaptability. A love for dogs is a must, as the individual's dog will always come with her.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Highly independent; able to manage responsibilities without close supervision
  • Provide safe, timely transportation to community activities, appointments, errands, and volunteer commitments
  • Assist with daily routines and accompany the individual to charitable events, fitness classes, and animal-related volunteer activities
  • Support household organization, including calendar management, reminders, and vendor coordination
  • Help with meal preparation, cleaning, and general upkeep
  • Research and recommend activities, including volunteer opportunities (especially animal-related)
  • Offer companionship and engagement in physical and recreational activities
  • Track and submit expenses/receipts to the accounting team
  • Assist with pet care, including transportation and occasional supervision
  • This role may evolve to include additional companionship and motivational support
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a personal assistant, caregiver, or support role
  • Comfortable working with neurodiverse individuals (experience supporting those with autism or special needs is a strong plus)
  • Background in teaching, counseling, life coaching, or caregiving is highly valued
  • Clear, professional communication; friendly and easy to work with
  • CPR certified or willing to become certified
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Comfortable with a flexible, changing weekly schedule
  • Proactive mindset - able to anticipate needs and suggest solutions/activities
  • Positive, steady presence with good judgment
  • Strong knowledge of the Tampa/Carrollwood area
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, be discreet, and work with professionalism
  • Tech-literate (calendars, maps, basic mobile tools)
  • Any experience with dog training is a significant plus
  • Comfort navigating heavy traffic on major Tampa highways (I-275, I-4, Veterans Expressway, etc)
  • Ability to maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and upkeep
