Role Purpose

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met, and maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This role leads production teams, coordinates cross-functional communication, and drives continuous improvement to meet operational and customer delivery goals.

Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions

Production Planning & Execution

  • Plan and schedule daily production activities to meet delivery and operational targets
  • Track production orders and ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals are achieved
  • Verify work order instructions and address any discrepancies or delays
  • Coordinate rework orders and update shipping schedules in collaboration with sales

Operations & Process Management

  • Track and manage chemical control and changes for production equipment
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, chemical changes, and waste disposal activities
  • Monitor production flow and resolve bottlenecks or operational issues
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide training and onboarding for new and existing employees
  • Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
  • Conduct performance evaluations in accordance with company policies
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Communicate production issues and updates to sales, engineering, and quality teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
  • Support execution of new product development processes and production readiness

Performance & Cost Management

  • Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including labor and overtime
  • Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTD, internal reject rate, and shipping performance
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Inventory & Resource Management

  • Order raw materials, chemicals, and other production supplies as needed
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels to support uninterrupted production

Work Experience & Skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

Experience:

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in PCB, electroplating, or photo-chemical etching industries strongly preferred

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, chemical handling, and equipment operations
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, and KPI management
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes preferred
  • Ability to analyze production data and drive process improvements
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or production systems

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
