About the position

The Project Manager at Food For The Poor is responsible for developing and managing projects in collaboration with implementing partners and subject matter experts. This role ensures adherence to project management principles and organizational policies, coordinating resources and processes to deliver projects on time and within budget. The position requires a strong focus on compliance, stakeholder communication, and risk management, while also engaging with local communities and conducting site visits to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact between Food For The Poor (FFTP) and implementing partners for all project management-related affairs.

  • Assist the Director of Projects in executing regional program strategies and initiatives for enhancing in-country capacities and promoting best practices in project management.

  • Collaborate on project planning, execution, and completion alongside implementing partners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Industrial Engineering, International Relations, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managing relief/development projects and familiarity with sustainable development, including monitoring and evaluation methodologies and practices.
  • ,
  • Proficiency in English (verbal/written) required.
  • ,
  • Proficiency in project management tools and platforms.
  • ,
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a proven record of resolving project-related challenges and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
