Your role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Quotes & Tenders team as Quote Management Specialist. In this role, the succesful applicant will support the delivery of an excellent customer experience through the preparation of accurate and compliant quotes, while also maintaining special pricing and freight conditions in the CRM system. You will handle quote-related requests and, where required, support the management of tenders, working closely with Sales and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and effective resolution. As part of a global team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of quote management processes, while also gaining exposure to different markets and customer needs and providing cross-support where possible.

Typical duties include but are not limited to the following

  • Prepare, review, and issue accurate and timely quotes and tenders using CRM and/or ERP systems
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers and the Sales organization on quote-related requests and inquiries
  • Ensure quotes are created in line with pricing rules, commercial guidelines, internal processes, service level expectations, and applicable Merck policies
  • Maintain special prices and agreed freight conditions in the CRM system
  • Investigate and resolve pricing, freight, and other quote-related discrepancies in close collaboration with Sales, Pricing, Customer Service, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Identify operational issues, escalate risks where needed, and support the timely resolution of quote-related challenges
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process-oriented projects to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
  • Share knowledge, provide process and tool guidance, and support the onboarding and development of colleagues and newcomers
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on quote-related topics when needed
  • Manage administrative and legal documentation required to quote to public and private customers in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Merck policies

Who You Are

  • You bring experience in a customer-facing environment, ideally in an international and multicultural setting
  • You are customer-oriented, service-minded, and flexible in responding to changing business needs
  • You have strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • You work with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • You are confident using business tools and systems, including Excel, and are comfortable working with data.
  • You communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally. Knowledge of another European language would be a real asset.
  • You build strong working relationships across customers, peers, management, and stakeholders
  • You work well across functions and cultures and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • You are open to change, with a constructive and solution-oriented mindset
  • You act with professionalism and collaboration in line with company values
