Title: Lead Microsoft Power Platform Developer (10 Years Experience) – Power Apps | Power Automate | Azure AI | SharePoint Location: Remote (New York City, NY) - preferred local Client: NYC Client Duration: 12 Months Rate: $?/hr C2C Job Summary: The NYC client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Microsoft Power Platform Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise business applications for a new digital transformation initiative. This is a hands-on technical lead role requiring a "one-person army" capable of owning the entire delivery lifecycle—from gathering requirements and solution architecture to development, integration, deployment, documentation, and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of application development experience with deep expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Services, and enterprise solution design. The selected consultant will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and low-code solutions while promoting configuration-first approaches over heavy customization. Key Responsibilities Lead the complete implementation of Microsoft Power Platform solutions from concept through production. Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable technical solutions. Participate in solution architecture, technical design sessions, and effort estimation. Communicate effectively with client stakeholders to manage expectations, define project scope, and promote configuration-based solutions over unnecessary custom development. Design, develop, configure, and deploy enterprise applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps). Develop complex business workflows and process automation using Microsoft Power Automate. Design and implement secure integrations between Microsoft Power Platform and enterprise applications. Develop RESTful APIs and web services hosted on Azure App Services. Build reusable connectors, custom APIs, and integration services. Design and implement secure data integration processes for complex enterprise data handling. Develop custom business logic where required while following Microsoft Power Platform best practices. Configure Microsoft Dataverse, business rules, forms, views, security roles, and approval workflows. Participate in application testing, debugging, performance tuning, and production deployment. Prepare technical architecture documents, solution design documents, deployment guides, API documentation, and operational manuals. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide technical mentoring to client personnel. Ensure solutions follow Microsoft''s Power Platform governance, security, and ALM best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10 years of enterprise application development experience. 7 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience. Strong expertise in: Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven Apps) Microsoft Power Automate Microsoft Dataverse Experience leading end-to-end Power Platform implementations. Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including: Azure App Services Azure Functions Azure API Management Azure Storage Azure Active Directory Experience developing RESTful Web Services and APIs. Experience integrating Microsoft Power Platform with enterprise applications. Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration patterns.
