Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately translate and localize English subtitles into your native language while preserving meaning, humor, and intent.

  • Sync subtitle timings with dialogue and on-screen actions.

  • Edit and proofread subtitles to ensure grammatical accuracy and cultural relevance.

  • Adhere to Netflixs quality standards and subtitle guidelines.

  • Collaborate with editors, QA specialists, and project managers to ensure timely delivery.

  • Use proprietary subtitle tools and translation software efficiently.

  • Maintain confidentiality of unreleased content and client information.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Native fluency in one or more target languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Hindi, Korean, Arabic, Japanese, etc.)

  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken

  • Strong understanding of grammar, idioms, and cultural nuances

  • Experience using subtitle editing software (e.g., Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, Ooona, or similar tools)

  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Strong computer literacy and typing skills

  • Excellent communication and time management abilities

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in subtitle translation, media localization, or related linguistic work

  • Prior work in entertainment, media, or streaming content localization is preferred
