JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team working on secure, mission-critical applications for federal and civil agencies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern Ruby and Rails development, strong experience with containerization, and a solid understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby 3.2+ and Rails 7+. • Implement data models and persistence layers using Mongoid (ORM). • Build and manage containerized environments with Docker. • Integrate authentication and authorization using Devise and CanCanCan. • Develop real-time features leveraging ActionCable. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards • Optimize application performance and scalability. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes. REQUIRED • Ruby (3.2+) and Rails (7+) proficiency. • Mongoid ORM experience. • Docker for containerization. • Devise and CanCanCan for authentication/authorization. • ActionCable for real-time features. PREFEREED • Vue.js • OAuth 2 and SAML integration. • Front-end bundling with Webpack or Vite. • Familiarity with FFI and Rust for performance-critical components. • Experience with NIST, FedRAMP, or GovRamp security frameworks. • Infrastructure automation using Chef or Ansible. REQUIREMENTS • U.S. Citizenship (mandatory). • Willingness to undergo Civil/Federal background checks. • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
