Job Summary

The primary duty of this position is to analyze healthcare customer business models to provide value-added support and analysis to increase company purchasing income by improving compliance to negotiated programs. Duties include suggesting products and improved processes benefiting productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive key customer business success by consulting with the customer on all aspects of culinary operations by using on-site visits, customer data analysis and established industry standards by using culinary and operations expertise to provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct recipe research and development to promote contract targeted products; work in conjunction with stakeholders to provide culinary input and advice; assess and evaluate new products and develop materials to increase use of contracted products and customer awareness of such products.
  • Obtains specific feedback, to ensure high quality meals and diverse alternatives, from customers, likes and dislikes; provides statistical data on food preferences and wastage.
  • Develop kitchen/operations assessment for customers; utilize other members of the team to build action plans to address short and long-term opportunities from the front of the house and back of the house. Deliver conclusions that assist the customer in achieving business goals.
  • Introduce and inform customer about contracted products with emphasis on specific brands and partnering manufacturers to include groceries, meat, produce, specialty, beverage, COP, and disposables.
  • Identifies and recommends areas of continuous improvement for products, processes, procedures that support the menu and benefit unit level economics.
  • Complies with all local and state food safety and health code regulations.
  • Demonstrate potential solutions including culinary, ideation, multi-task preparation and presentation of product.
  • Assist customers in establishing and executing strategic purchasing initiatives to drive revenues and contract utilization.
  • Provide reporting to measure impact of culinary activities for tracking, key performance indicators, customer follow up and case studies.
  • Serve as product knowledge expert for support in conversion activities and opportunity analysis review.
  • Support culinary activities for onboarding new customers.
  • Support product match and mapping activities as requested.
  • Coordinate product cuttings and showcases including ordering product, creating collateral and follow ups as needed for team members.
  • Work with manufacturers on any product or program related activities.
  • Coordinate nutritional/spec information and samples.
  • Schedule and coordinate Business Reviews/Showcases with manufacturers.
  • Establish a strong partnership with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure agreed-upon needs are met.
  • Promote process improvements, services, and solutions within assigned business segment to potential customers.
  • Actively pursue continuous learning of industry knowledge to ensure selection and delivery of best insights for usage with customer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, culinary degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 4+ years related experience required.
  • Strong culinary background and/or operational background preferred.
  • Product development and/or training experience is a plus.
  • Clinical experience and certification is a plus
  • Extremely Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Supply chain, power BI, conversion file experience a plus.
  • Problem solver
  • Strong organizational skills needed to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong professional presentation and interpersonal skills combined with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in groups as well as individually while holding multiple stakeholders accountable to outcomes.
  • Able to multi-task concurrent projects with quick deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 30% annually.
