Farm Fresh Poultry Ltd is looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of routinely maintaining the condition and functionality of premises and equipment, conducting repairs and diagnostics on mechanical systems. As a member of our team, we expect the successful candidate to adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure safety amongst yourself and co-workers, as well as food safety for the product and our customers.

The ideal candidate will be required to work rotating shifts, Days and Afternoons, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and ad-hoc repairs on production equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret such documents as technical / equipment manuals, plans, specifications, blueprints etc.
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
  • Complete machine setup for production
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven experience as maintenance technician
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Basic communication skills
  • 2 years experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
