<p> GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:  </p> <p>  </p> <p>· While filling<br />boxes with appropriate number of bags, make sure packing machine is working<br />correctly and inspect for any broken seals or errors in the product. Label boxes and place on belt to be stacked<br />on skids.  </p> <p>  </p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  </p> <p>  </p> <p>Daily:  </p> <p>· Build boxes </p> <p>· Make sure bags<br />are filled to appropriate weight </p> <p>· Label boxes </p> <p>· Packages are<br />placed in boxes in specific arrangements and set quantities  </p> <p>· Check bags for<br />any broken seals, air pockets, holes or other faults in product </p> <p>· Place full boxes<br />on belt to be stacked on skids </p> <p>· Dry wipe<br />production area when needed (see sanitation job description) </p> <p>· Maintain/replenish<br />packaging box levels </p> <p>· Sweep floor and<br />any other Clean-up required </p> <p>  </p> <p>*And any other duties<br />assigned by Supervisor </p> <p>  </p> <p>SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: </p> <p>  </p> <p>· Lock Out Tag Out </p> <p>· Follow all Food<br />Safety regulations </p> <p>· Wear all required<br />PPEs </p> <p>· Follow all common<br />employee safety practices </p> <p>  </p> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  </p> <p>  </p> <p>· High school<br />diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related<br />experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and<br />experience. </p> <p>  </p> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS:  </p> <p>  </p> <p>· Ability to read<br />and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in<br />one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees<br />of the organization. </p> <p>  </p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  </p> <p>  </p> <p>· Ability to add<br />and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and<br />100's. Ability to perform these<br />operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and<br />distance. </p> <p>  </p> <p>REASONING ABILITY:  </p> <p>  </p> <p>· Ability to apply<br />common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral<br />instructions. Ability to deal with<br />problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.  </p>
