If you're passionate about shaping the future of work, we’d love to hear from you. </p><p><b>What is the opportunity?</b><br><br>As a Security Engineer you will be responsible for cloud security architecture and hands-on engineering, supporting SaaS platforms, containerized workloads, and AI‑enabled services. The ideal candidate has experience working in a SaaS environment, can independently design and implement security controls, and partners closely with engineering teams to embed security early in system and AI design. Here is a breakdown:</p><ul><li>Cloud, Container & SaaS Security: Design and implement security controls across cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), SaaS services, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes environments, including identity, networking, and workload protection.</li><li>Shift‑Left & DevSecOps Collaboration: Partner with the Product Security team to embed security earlier in the development lifecycle by contributing to secure coding standards, CI/CD pipeline security gates, and developer security enablement.</li><li>Data Security: Support data security initiatives across SaaS and AI‑enabled services, including data classification, access controls, and data residency considerations for multi‑tenant and regulated environments.</li><li>Container & Kubernetes Security: Secure containerized and Kubernetes environments, including pod security, network policies, image scanning, and runtime protection.</li><li>AI Security: Apply AI security frameworks (e.g., OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS) to threat assessments and security architecture reviews for AI‑enabled services.</li><li>Guardrails & Standards: Define and maintain security standards, reference architectures, and design patterns used by engineering teams.</li><li>Zero Trust: Apply Zero Trust principles across identity, network segmentation, and workload access in cloud and SaaS environments.</li></ul><p><br><b>What will you bring to Omnissa?  </b></p><ul><li>8+ years of experience in security, cloud, or platform engineering.</li><li>Strong cloud architecture and hands-on engineering experience (AWS and/or Azure).</li><li>Prior experience working at a SaaS company supporting production, multi‑tenant services.</li><li>Experience securing containerized and Kubernetes environments.</li><li>Solid understanding of cloud security, identity, workload protection, and data security concepts.</li><li><div>Experience with Wiz strongly preferred; experience with other Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM/CNAPP) tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, Lacework, Orca, Defender for Cloud) is a plus.</div></li><li>Ability to independently own security design and implementation for complex systems.</li><li>Experience securing AI platforms or AI‑enabled services.</li><li>Familiarity with AI security frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10 and/or MITRE ATLAS.</li><li>Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.</li><li>Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).</li><li>Relevant security or cloud certifications.</li></ul><p><br><b>Location: </b>Remote-USA Or Hybrid (Hybrid only if candidates live close to Atlanta or Mountain View offices)<br><b>Travel Expectations:</b> None<br><b>Education: </b>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.</p><p></p><p><b>Compensation:</b> <i>The typical base salary for this role is between <b>USD $130,350 – $210,000</b> per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program. Actual compensation offer may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, or other relevant factors.
