Internal Manufacturing Indianapolis is a function within Roche Diabetes Care Global Operations & Quality, responsible for the manufacturing of the majority of our Diabetes Care portfolio for the global demand of our patients.
Role Purpose
As Head of Manufacturing Value Stream - Blood Glucose Test Strips, you will oversee the mass scale and highly automated manufacturing operation for blood glucose test strips.
This includes the leadership of three groups with in total more than 250 operations and maintenance colleagues. You will be a member of the Diabetes Care internal Manufacturing Indianapolis Leadership Team and report to the Head of Manufacturing Indianapolis
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the short and long term success of your area of responsibility.
Secure the planning, implement and follow up on measures and processes to meet quality, volume and cost targets for your area of responsibility.
Compliance with standards and procedures.
Contribute to business, social and environmental sustainability targets.
Focus on further developing the operations and maintenance teams as well as the manufacturing facilities and processes for your area of responsibility.
Carry out special projects and initiatives to drive overall success and future development of the manufacturing organization.
Define and fulfill the short and long term resource needs.
Establish and improve best practices and thought leadership.
Be an active coach and mentor to members of the team to help them grow and progress in their career
Nurture and develop an empowered, knowledgeable, effective and efficient group of subject matter experts (SMEs) with the capabilities to support Roche Diabetes Care’s efforts with best-in-class expertise.

Qualifications, Competencies & Experiences:
Bachelor degree in relevant area of study. Master degree preferred
10 years experience in the manufacturing or operations related function
7 years experience in leadership
Demonstrated success in understanding complex scientific issues and effectively translating them into business success
Track record of making strategic decisions and aligning the organization behind them
Made impactful presentations to senior management and the external environment
People management and talent development
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams
MedTech industry or other high quality and regulatory industry knowledge
Communication and presentation skills
Able to lead and manage change
Influence and drive decisions across different hierarchy levels
