<p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt"><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-weight: bold">Position Summary: </span>The Donor Data and Prospecting Specialist will use data analysis, research and management skills to support fundraising efforts by maintaining the department’s donor database, qualifying prospects and developing profiles, identifying trends, and generating reports to optimize campaigns and donor engagement. The ideal candidate will manage competing priorities while tracking high volumes of data. This is a full-time exempt position.</span></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold">Key Duties / Responsibilities:</span><br></p> <p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt"><em>Donor Data Management</em></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Partner with Development, Finance, Marketing, and Programs teams to meet cross-functional data, record-keeping, and audit needs.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Provide a broad range of data, analysis and information services in support of the Development team. </span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Accurately enter, maintain, and retrieve data from database and other sources to sort and organize for more detailed analysis. Create queries and special reports to help with donor engagement and retention.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Develop and maintain a quality control process for regularly reviewing and auditing data, and related systems and processes. Oversee coding of gifts, reconcile daily, and maintain codes for campaigns, appeals, sources.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Provide support with gift processing and acknowledgment, data entry, and data maintenance. </span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Provide guidance and training for staff on using the CRM effectively and efficiently. Develop manuals and provide troubleshooting support.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Maintain data privacy and security protocols in line with industry standards and relevant laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).</span></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic">Prospect Research</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Collaborate with the Development team to qualify prospects and develop cultivation and engagement strategies using a prospect tracking system to monitor progress and ensure adequate follow-up.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Develop and implement innovative strategies to identify new individual, foundation, and corporate donor prospects, with a focus on expanding CPE's donor base.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Conduct thorough research on potential donors, including wealth screening, philanthropic interests, and giving capacity. Utilizing online databases, public records, and other resources to gather relevant information.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Analyze prospect data to prioritize and segment potential donors based on factors such as giving capacity and history, alignment with CPE's mission and programs, engagement level with the organization, connections to current donors or board members.</span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Other duties as assigned.</span></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold">Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Bachelor’s degree required</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">3-5 years of experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software </span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Experience with Salesforce or a donor management software is desired, but not required</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Familiarity with donor research methods and tools</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Willingness to take initiative, help problem-solve, and work cross-functionally across departments to support short-term and long-term organizational goals</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Strong attention to detail, including a drive to identify the source of data errors and their solutions</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Knowledge of best practices related to prospect research, constituent records management, data entry, and gift processing is preferred</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Excellent communication skills</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Experience providing high-level customer service is desired</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Ability to maintain confidentiality</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) </span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Experience working in a remote environment is preferred</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Strong commitment to racial justice and passion for CPE’s mission</span></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold">Compensation:</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt">Range: $77,400-$89,010.
