This is a high-impact role critical to driving new customer acquisition and expanding our market presence through search channels. The right candidate will own day-to-day execution of our paid search program, bringing both analytical rigor and business judgment to their work, proactively surfacing observations and contributing to strategy over time, and moving fast on opportunities. This role has real ownership and impact. We're looking for someone who defaults to initiative and brings observations forward without being asked, and is energized by seeing their work translate into real results.</div><div><br></div><div><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Key Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li class="">Drive new renter growth by optimizing paid search campaigns, with a primary focus on Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, continuously refining to maximize ROAS</li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Identify and develop new keyword opportunities and audience segments, expanding our reach and diversifying our search acquisition mix</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Design and execute A/B tests across ad copy and bidding strategies to improve conversion rates, user engagement, and overall campaign performance</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Analyze search performance data to uncover growth opportunities, proactively surface trends and anomalies, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to inform decision-making at all levels.</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Work cross-functionally with brand, analytics, product, and engineering teams to align paid search efforts with overall business goals and leverage technical capabilities</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Own and be accountable for key performance metrics related to user acquisition, cost per acquisition, click-through rates, and overall search marketing efficiency</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Develop clear, insightful reports that translate complex search performance data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Stay up-to-date with paid search platform updates, algorithm changes, and industry best practices</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Contribute to the development of our overall performance marketing playbook, sharing paid search best practices and learnings across the team to elevate our collective performance</span></li><li class="">Document paid search learnings and testing outcomes to elevate our collective performance</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Data-Driven Mindset</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Comfortable working with performance data and using it to guide campaign optimization decisions</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills specific to paid search metrics</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Ability to identify relevant KPIs for different search campaigns and initiatives</span></li><li class=""><span style="background-color: transparent;">Naturally curious and proactive about using data. The US TTC range, which includes base salary and bonus, for this position is:</div><div><br></div><ul><li class="">Zone 1: $115,000 - $151,000 TTC (including $103,000 - $135,000 base salary) + equity</li><li class="">Zone 2: $106,000 - $140,000 TTC (including $96,000 - $125,000 base salary) + equity</li><li class="">Zone 3: $98,000 - $128,500 TTC (including $88,000 - $115,000 base salary) + equity</li></ul><div><br></div><div>This reflects the compensation target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Please note, the compensation details provided do not include benefits and perks that we offer. </div><div><br></div><div>We also rely on market indicators along with considering your work location, job related skills, experience and relevant education and training, to determine compensation that is fair and competitive for you. Apartment List will consider paying compensation near the higher of the range in exceptional circumstances, where candidates have the experience, credentials or expertise that would warrant such consideration.
