<p><strong>What You Will Do - Essential Functions</strong></p>
<p>The position of Sr Data Scientist at Lucet entails creating strategic solutions from large amounts of data collected from various sources, organizing and analyzing the data, then interpreting the data and communicating the results to Lucet stakeholders. It requires a creative, analytical, and tech-savvy problem-solver with good communication skills, and an advanced knowledge of statistics and mathematics. The data scientist has an obligation to uphold the scientific integrity of Lucet and provide thought leadership that will improve members lives.</p>

<li>Data Analysis & Methodology</li>
<ul>
<li>Perform quantitative analyses, design behavioral health assessments, and apply advanced statistical methods to generate actionable insights.</li>
<li>Ensure psychometric rigor (reliability, validity, predictive value) and validate models for generalizability and meaningful outcomes.</li>
</ul>
<li>Collaboration & Communication</li>
<ul>
<li>Partner with cross-functional teams and external collaborators to design research, gather requirements, and translate findings into business and clinical insights.</li>
<li>Deliver presentations and produce clear, non-technical reports to communicate results, limitations, and strategic recommendations.</li>
</ul>
<li>Project & Data Management</li>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage data-driven projects, including data cleaning, task delegation, and oversight of analytic workflows.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to leverage insights for business impact while staying current on data science advancements.</li>

<p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Required Qualifications</li>
<ul>
<li>Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or similar.</li>
<li>7+ years experience as a data scientist.</li>
<li>5 + year in R or Python, where the former is preferred.</li>
<li>5+ years In-depth understanding of SQL.</li>
<li>Competent in machine learning principles and techniques.</li>
<li>Demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects.</li>
<li>Ability to relay insights in layman's terms, such that these can be used to inform business decisions.</li>
<li>Capacity to foster a healthy, stimulating work environment that frequently harnesses teamwork.</li>
<li>Compliance with prevailing ethical standards.</li>
<li>Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen. </li>

<li>Working Conditions:</li>

<li>High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting) required.</li>
<li>Frequent use of computer and phone systems</li>
<li>Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary, sitting position, communicate and exchange information with others, inspect information, perform repetitive motions with arms and fingers, interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, organize and plan, and maintain a positive and professional attitude in all situations.</li>
<li>Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.</li>
<li>A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.</li>
<li>For roles requiring travel, employees must be able to travel by air to various locations and stay overnight in hotels as needed for business purposes which includes ability to manage travel logistics, adapt to varying time zones and environments, and adapt to varying worksite conditions.</li>
